RESPONSIBLE RAW MATERIALS REPORT 2024

The Volkswagen Group's Raw Materials Report addresses one of the key future topics in ESG reporting: responsible raw material procurement in global supply chains. We contributed to this project in many ways: from analyzing regulatory requirements and developing complex content to strategic storytelling and high-quality design.

IN SEARCH OF RELEVANT DATA

OECD, EUDR, EUBR, CMRA: There are many regulatory requirements for reporting. We took these into account, as well as peer group reporting and previous reporting by the Volkswagen Group. Based on this, we developed structured editorial sheets for systematic data collection. We then developed the content conceptually and editorially and supplemented it with charts and visualizations to present the complex raw material and supply chain relationships in an understandable way. To validate and deepen the content, we also conducted structured interviews with the responsible raw material managers.

DESIGN: CONSISTENT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE VW BRAND IDENTITY

We redesigned the entire report based on the Volkswagen Group's new corporate design. Graphics and numerous icons make the complex content easier to understand, while an integrated navigation bar ensures clear and intuitive reader guidance. The switch to 16:9 landscape format means that the report is optimized for digital use.

TEAMWORK: PARTNERSHIP-BASED COOPERATION

Intensive professional exchange, partnership-based consulting, joint development of reporting formats – as a well-coordinated team, we worked closely with the customer to create a solid foundation for consistent and fact-oriented stakeholder communication.
