EcoVadis Rating: Kirchhoff Consult Once Again Awarded Platinum Medal

Kirchhoff Consult, the Hamburg-based communications and strategy consultancy specialising in financial communications and ESG, has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal – the highest distinction in the global sustainability assessment. This means Kirchhoff remains ranked among the top 1 per cent of the approximately 175,000 companies currently assessed by EcoVadis worldwide.

The company also further increased its score, achieving 92 out of 100, up from 84 the previous year. The average score in its peer group stands at 60 points. Key factors behind the stronger overall performance included the introduction of additional policies, its sophisticated environmental management system, and new measures relating to labour and human rights. The company has also identified additional optimisation potential, particularly in relation to certifications.

EcoVadis evaluates organisations across four core areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The assessments are based on the quality of a company’s sustainability management systems and its commitment to driving transparency across the entire value chain.

EcoVadis Consulting Partners for Sustainability Assessments

EcoVadis partners are selected on the basis of their experience and expertise in sustainability and corporate responsibility. Accredited consulting partners must complete comprehensive training on the EcoVadis methodology and assessment process through the EcoVadis Academy. To qualify, they must demonstrate a deep understanding of local environmental, ethical and human rights regulations and issues, and must also have completed the EcoVadis assessment for their own company.
