(JUNIOR) CONSULTANT SUSTAINABILITY/ESG

Job Responsibilities

Kirchhoff seeks ESG analysts to join its Sustainability/ESG Consulting team. The position presents an exciting opportunity to conduct ESG analysis that will form a part of our services to support companies on their ESG risk rating, strategy development, materiality assessment and non-financial reporting. The role involves ESG risk analysis for companies, contributing to corporate client ESG needs, and providing insights for thought leadership and expertise. You will join a growing and strategically important team of consultants, with career development opportunities to become a top sustainability/ESG consultant. The ideal candidate should have a background in ESG rating agencies.

  • Gap- analyze the ESG risks of companies, and support them through the ESG risk rating process
  • Respond to client queries and support them in integrating insights in their ESG performance
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual capital and insights for thought leadership
  • Contribute to the (further) development of companies’ materiality, and sustainability strategy
  • Serve renowned ESG rating agencies with qualitative and quantitative information
  • Take an active role in the organizational and technical preparation of workshops and meetings
  • Analysis and evaluation of relevant regulatory and legislative frameworks in the context of ESG

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in a related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social science)
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and related ESG aspects
  • Excellent research, analytical and writing capabilities
  • Excellent language skills (in spoken and written formats) in German and English
  • Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats), e.g. ppt skills, client interaction skills
  • Ability to work and adapt in a rapidly changing environment and embrace innovation
  • Initial experience/involvement with well-known ESG ratings (e.g. Sustainalytics, or MSCI)
  • Desirable: Experience in preparing sustainability reports (non-financial reporting)
  • Desirable: ESG certifications considered an asset
  • Must: Alignment with Kirchhoff's mission, vision and values
